nettle

Botanical name: Urtica dioica

Use the botanical name when ordering seeds (bulbs, etc.) or when looking up information in the library.

Safety warning: Some herbs may be poisonious under some conditions. Please learn which herbs and which parts of herbs might be poisonious or toxic at some or all of the growing cycle.
Traditionally witches gathered herbs from wild gathering and from their witch gardens. In modern times there are too many people on the planet for wild gathering to be environmentally sound. Some plants are now endangered species.
Some plants can be toxic or poisonious just by touch. Even experts can make deadly misidentifications of wild plants.
Modern witches either purchase herbs from known sources or grow thier own herbs in a witch garden (or window boxes).
